General

1. What is the real advantage of going with Levine Lane versus just hiring a web designer to create a website for us?

Levine Lane will save you significant time and money by providing you with a fully functional and professional website that is very easy to maintain and update without technical knowledge. Your company's website will be up and running in a matter of days, rather than the extensive time it can take when starting from scratch with a web designer. In addition, Levine Lane is staffed with professionals who have many years of practical hands-on experience – in web design and technology, property management and project management – which insures you will get the best product and service for your needs.

2. About how much time will it take to maintain the website once it’s up and running?

Maintenance is easily managed by one or more people, as determined by your organization. Information can be updated in minutes and is available on the website immediately.

3. All software companies say their product is easy to use, but I don’t know HTML. Why is your product easy?
Our product is so easy to use because our content management system uses a combination of intuitive fields and a simple text editor to allow non-technical users to easily manage content, in real time. Absolutely no knowledge of HTML or other programming languages is necessary. In addition, we have an online training website with easy to follow, step by step instructions and offer regularly scheduled online webinars to assist users as they edit, add or delete content on the website.

4. What is a content management system?

A content management system is a collection of tools that allows a user to create, modify, organize, and publish or remove content from a website. Levine Lane’s content management system uses a combination of intuitive fields and a simple text editor to allow non-technical users to easily manage content, in real time. You are in charge of your website and can make changes whenever desired, without calls to anyone else, which saves both time and money.

Set up and Pricing

1. What are the different payment options that are available?
We offer a Basic Plan and a Value Plan, both of which are charged on a monthly basis, and can be billed on either a monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual basis. Additional services are provided on a time and material basis. Please see our Pricing page for more specific details.

2. How much will this really cost our organization?

We have designed a pricing structure that is flexible and affordable. There is a one time set up fee for each website, which includes the uploading of your logo and/or image, home page content and resident information; domain name registration and annual renewal; and administrator assistance. Monthly service is offered through two packages: our Basic Plan and our Value Plan. The cost for each is based on the number of members/residents and features selected. 3. What will the address of our website be?

If your organization already owns a domain name, we can assist in transferring that domain name to the new website. If the organization wishes to register a domain name, we will assist with that process as well, provided the domain is available.

4. What if we already have a website? Can we use the same name?

If your organzation owns the domain name (URL) it can be transferred to the new website. We will work with your organization to initiate and manage the domain name transfer process.

Support and Training

1. Who trains us?

A training session to instruct website administrators on the basics of the website software is provided as part of the website set up. We also provide access to an online training website that includes written, step by step instructions and frequently asked questions. We also schedule webinars (interactive online instruction) for website administrators and can provide one-on-one training for an additional fee.

2. What about ongoing support? What kind of help will be available?

We provide on-going email and phone support to all website administrators, and are committed to responding to issues within 24 hours. We also want to hear from our clients about technical questions, problems, comments or suggestions for enhancements and ask that website administrators contact us as needed.

3. We just don't have the time and manpower to build our site. Is help available?

Yes! In additional to our standard set up package (which includes domain name registration, logo and member/resident data uploads, and posting of home page content), our expanded website setup service gives your organization instant access to a full website. You provide us with the documents and other content and we will edit, post and format them to build your website. You can also purchase expanded services on an hourly basis, at any time, for as much or as little time as needed.  For example, if you needed help posting meeting minutes or newsletter items one month, but didn't need this service every month.

Technical Questions

1. Will we be able to change the website navigation? Will we be able to add pages?

Absolutely. We will work with you to determine what pages you want on your website and will build the site accordingly. If additional pages are desired after the site's initial launch, the site administrator needs only to contact Levine Lane and those pages can be added within 48 hours at no additional cost.

2. How much storage space will our website have?

Every website is provided between 500MB and 1GB of data storage, depending on which Plan is selected. Storage is measured for all documents, images and other files stored. If an organization exceeds the provided space they will be notified. If an organization desires additional space Levine Lane and Associates can provide the space for an additional fee.

3. We are worried about privacy and security. How secure are the websites? Does Levine Lane HCO sell any of our data to third parties?

There are mulitple levels available on the website. Each page of the website can be made public or private, and individual content on those pages can be made public or private (e.g. documents).

The security provided is application level security. The hosting facility contains additional security to ensure no one can inappropriately access software, hardware and data.

Levine Lane does not, and will not ever, sell any client data to third parties.

4. What if there is something our organization wants on our website that is not provided in the package?

Just give us a call! If your organization has particular needs or requests that are not addressed by our core product, we have a full service web design and software development team to meet your requirements. 5. Where will my website be stored?
Your website will be stored in a privately owned state-of-the-art data center that guarantees connectivity through multiple Tier-1 backbone providers. The website and its supporting software run in its own memory space on a robust managed server with multi-layer security infrastructure (Hacker-Safe certified), advanced data center security protocols, and redundant power through diesel generators.
